The last day of school before spring break begins... we have been counting down the sleeps for over a year for this weekend to arrive.
School was extremely exciting  as we had our liturgy in the afternoon and did stations of the cross around the building. The end of the day came more quickly than expected even though the teachers had to have their rooms painted in their portables which took a lot of work moving shelving and getting everything prepared.
At the end of the day I jumped in the Pontiac Grand Am and headed down Deerfoot to pick up Krista at her office. Traffic was heavy but we made it over to the Valentine Volvo dealership and picked up Kristas new XC 60. It is a light gold color called seashell metallic. It has more bills and whistles than every vehicle I have ever owned put together.
We headed home and promptly parked it in the garage. I took Jacob for a haircut and then to the dollar store for some snacks for the airplane. We got home and did some last minute packing to get ready for our early trip in the morning. I made a very last minute decision to head out to the Grey Eagle Casino to meet up with my drummer Kevin to go watch a couple of classic 80's Rock bands, Lee Aaron and Harlequin. Lee only sang 8 or 9 songs then I was able to get a minute of visiting with her at the end of the show which was awesome!
The weather was not cooperating very well as freezing rain started about 7 p.m. which caused the roads to be quite treacherous such that there was an injury accident on the way home which took over an hour to get diverted onto Deerfoot and not home until after midnight. It was a very quick nap for 4 hours before our travel adventures began on Good Friday.
