Saturday April 7th

One of the worst nights of sleep I can never remember. Both Krista and I didn't get into bed until 2:30 and stayed awake till almost 4. Announcements began over this ship intercom at 6:00 a.m.
We got up and showered, cleaned our room and met everyone for 8 a.m. breakfast. We went for our last buffet and grab some fruit and muffins to take with us off the ship. We took some last-minute photos in a few places and went to wait in the Royal Theatre for our departure time around 9:30 a.m.
We headed down to deck 5 and multiple gangways before getting into the large staging building and tried to locate our luggage in area 53. We found Jacob's and my suitcases immediately but had to go to another area to try to find Nicholas and Krista. We found Nicholas' without tags and Krista's was gone. We searched for over an hour but to no avail.
We filled out the missing bag report and hopefully it will be found soon and delivered to us in Calgary.
We headed through security and out onto the street where we Ubered over to the airport for $20.
The Westjet line was moving reasonably well and we were through quickly. Security was incredibly fast as we breezed through the TSA line with our Nexus cards.
We all headed to Chilis for some Mexican food and beverages as the hour flew by and we were ready to board our plane. Everyone furiously checked email and got caught up on the outside world as we were devastated to hear the news of the horrible bus accident near Tisdale where the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus crashed and 15 players, coaches and personnel were killed.
We were also perplexed to see the weather in Calgary at -12 with 10cm of snow on the way. Oh joy.
The plane had wifi so we all watched multiple movies through the 6 hour flight.
As we arrived in Calgary, we were shocked to see how much snow was everywhere. As we departed the plane, the icy cold wind in the gangway was a punch in the mouth.
We whistled through customs and out to our truck waiting for us running on the street.
Cuzzettos had their truck detailed and their endgame was frozen shut so we took all the bags and dropped theirs off at their house.
The drive down Deerfoot Trail was harrowing at best with drifting snow and drivers tailgating one another all the way home.
After dropping off luggage and grabbing some milk, we whipped up some pizza and munchies and settled in for a night of tv.
What an amazing adventure we had had and some great memories made.
